I am a fully qualified Psychotherapist holding a Masters in Counselling and Psychotherapy. Since achieving my Masters I have completed specialised training in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy with the Beck Institute in America. Aaron Beck is the founding father of CBT and has a highly prestigious, world renowned institution.
I also hold a BA (Hons) in Social and Community studies, where I have developed a wide range of skills working with young people. I work with children with anxiety, intrusive thoughts, confidence issues, behavioural issues and children on the Autism spectrum. Therapy can be a big step for any person especially children therefore I ensure every child feels comfortable and relaxed in the therapy room. My main goal is to have young clients see me as someone on the same level as themselves. I work with children over 8 years, adolescents and adults.
I have a wide range of experience working with all ages across Ireland. I have experience working within the Tipperary Regional Youth Services, My Mind Centre for Mental Well Being in both the Limerick and Cork Centres. I have also worked for more then 5 years in a Private Practice in Cork working with a multidisciplinary team while liaising with other mental health professionals. While also developing my own Private Practice offering counselling, psychotherapy and CBT in the Bellevue Clinic in Mallow. I am also an affiliated Psychotherapist with Laya Healthcare and Spectrum Life within there EAP Services offering one to one counselling and Psychotherapy.
